It Just Keeps Gettin' Better

Current Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina

Well, the last time I wrote was Friday, May 20th. You were probably wondering where I've been or if I was even still alive : )
Yes, yes I am. Very much so. So Saturday, May 21st, my cousin Mykel and I went into Fayettville, which was about a 30 mile distance from Dunn, North Carolina. We did some shopping, had lunch...all in all it was a really good day, I'm really enjoying spending time with Mykel, I've missed her : )

So, to keep you in the loop, the thing was, I was planning on surprising Riley, the one I've known for 13 years...He knew I was here in North Carolina but had no idea when I was going to come see him. After much thought and consideration, I decided to surprise him on Saturday evening (May 21st) only to get a call from him saying he'd gotten sick all of a sudden and would call me to let me know what the doctor said. I was seriously bummed out. So on Mykel and I's way home from Fayetteville, she says, I'm gonna run inside and go to the bathroom when we get home, can you get Noah out of his car seat and bring him in?
"suuuuuure...?"
What do I see when I walk in? Riley sitting there!! I had NO idea that the whole time, my mom, Mykel and Riley were all planning on surprising ME!! I was grinning from ear to ear. As if this trip could get any better, and it does. Being here, in North Carolina around not only Mykel and her family, which has been so fun and a huge blessing, but getting to be here, with Riley, spending time with him and finally being on his end of the world is just indescribable.
So we drove back here, to Jacksonville, NC on Saturday morning, got ready, and went and got lunch. The place that he took me to eat our lunch was breathtaking! It was a pond/lake on the base at Camp Lejeune...

After lunch we went and spent the rest of the day at his good friend Derek and his wife Kaitlins house. We had so much fun, I was so happy to meet them and get to know them : ) we played a game called ladder ball and another one (I don't remember the name of where we threw bean bags into a hole at the other end of the yard, we played cards and another game called Partini. So fun : )

On the way home Riley took me by this road where the most recent tornado hit, here in Jacksonville...

I'm really looking forward to see what's in store next on my adventure. This has been such an incredible, life changing experience. It really is amazing the things that happen when you put your life in Gods hands.

This weekend Mykel and I are going to spend a few days in Savannah, Georgia, just the two of us, I'm really looking forward to it, like I said, I've missed her so much : )

Oh, by the way, I have a feeling I will be talking about this a lot, but the humidity! it's crazy! I was up at like 4:00am this morning and was already sweating just by stepping outside! yay...haha
So, I think I will be very much so enjoying the beach here, which, I guess is only a bout 15 minutes from where I am. There are a lot of things that I'm excited about, coming up. I'm just so excited I could scream!!
