Heres To...

well, I'm back, I haven't wrriten in awhile because I've been having a BLAST!!
Friday night Riley and I went to a baseball game with his good friend Derek and his wife, it was so much fun, the first "real" baseball game I'd ever been to, complete with the hot dogs, the music, the mascot...

Right after the game I drove back to Mykels house then the next morning we left for Savannah, Georgia.
The drive there was perfect. So pretty, with the puffy white clouds, the traffic wasnt too bad...It took about 4 and a half hours to get there. When we got to our hotel we got cleaned up, changed our clothes and went to downtown Savannah to eat at this place called The Olde Pink House....

The food at this place was sooo amazing. Worth the 2 hour wait, very worth it. We had sparkling wine, with calamari and caesar salad. For dinner I had crispy lobster with this sweet chili dijon dipping sauce and melted butter. Mykel had crab stuffed groupon...

After dinner, they brought me out this really pretty oval plate drizzled with dark chocolate that said happy birthday. Mykel must have snuck away and told them it was my birthday, so sweet of her! : )
It was such am amazing ambience, the dim lighting, the wine. It was all so perfect.

During our 2 hour wait we walked around downtown, we loved it!! By far the most beautiful city I've ever seen...

As we walked into the city, I heard this music playing, the saxaphone. It was such a perfect first impression. We sat in this park for awhile and listened to it. It's like, everything keeps being perfect. Everything feels like a dream, and it keeps getting better.

After dinner we walked down by the river front, on the cobblestone streets and there was music, and people dancing... the paddle boats were all lit up...
It was so much awesome-ness to take it, it just KEPT getting better! And you could tell that that's how it is every night down there, it wasn't just a special occasion.
Savannah, Georgia is a romantic city. There were carriage rides, and people actually dress up. I just marvelled the whole night at the romance in the air. It was so special to see that love still exists. Real love. The good kind, where the men dress up in suits, the women still wear dresses and heels...Chilvary hasn't died.

The next day, on Monday, we went to Tybee Island. It was such a cool town!! And the beach was so warm, the white sand was the softest I'd ever felt between my toes. Mykel and I swam in the ocean, my very first time actually swimming in the ocean!! It was kind of intimidating but so cool.

On the way home I accidentally took a wrong turn but it ended up being meant to be because it allowed us to see the whole city from this huge, fascinating bridge...

We got home around 9pm on Monday night then the next day Mykel and her family and I went to the beach, Wrightsville Beach. another amazing beach town. I can tell I'm going to very much enjoy all this beach time : )

Today is my birthday, the big 2-5. I'm officially a quarter of a century old. I'm back in Jacksonville with Riley and he has a whole day planned for me. I'm glad to be spending my birthday here, with him : )

Heres to growing up and new beginnings.
